Real talk about state and federal government plus great stuff by the Molly Steinsapir Foundation. I'd love to hear your comments, questions, reactions!
As a Canadian, I am speechless from the attitudes from this administration and the many Americans that support the animosity with my Country as well as the other NATO nations. Beyond comprehension.
I read this episode earlier, then apparently stepped away without comment so listened again. I love how your office space is coming along and that it’s become a great space to display the gifts honoring Molly; seems perfect!
Much more has happened in the past weeks, a lot of it bad for our country and the global stage. I share the feelings of anxiety and most of all, outrage. The blatant disregard for due process is of great concern, not only for those here illegally but now US citizens as well. While I understand our judicial system is slow, I find it very frustrating that the courts can’t take action faster. Other recent news that’s extremely alarming is NSPM-4 that expands military area at the border and increases the military’s role and a lot more scary objectives. I don’t think the media is giving this enough coverage. If our judicial system fails coupled with implementation of NSPM-4, I fear we’ll be in serious danger of becoming an authoritarian regime. Positive things are happening too with people taking to the streets all across the country to push back on the administration’s agenda. Trump’s polls are dropping significantly and it’s not only democrats who are not happy! As always, great episode; thanks for sharing!
I look forward to listening to you as I relate to much of your thinking. I, too, am unable to tune out but it's so much. I'm struggling with the one year anniversary of my precious Son and will have his unveiling soon. I feel paralyzed with grief and the world situation 💔
So spot on. Sadly so many of the people I know who voted for him defend every thing he does. I don’t get it at all. They don’t seem to care the market is crap or social security is at risk. And the people they are snatching off the street are not white so to them that is ok. It’s embarrassing.
You are so right. I feel as if I did get a fairly high-quality public school education, relatively speaking, and yet I don't think I had a truly meaningful understanding of of our federal government, the sep of powers etc. until I went to law school. That really needs to change. And the thing is it is INTERESTING and teachable to young people, or at least it can and should be made to be.
This was wonderful. I am so frightened by what's happening, and mad. Just plain mad! I'm coming to Santa Clarita in 3 weeks to see my grandchildren. I would love to see the mural!

Some of us are paying attention, and it is absolutely insane
